BIG CONCERT WITH THE SOPRANO DIMITRA THEODOSSIOU
AT THE FENICE OPERA HOUSE
Maria Callas Association presided by the President Mr. Bruno Tosi has arranged, on the same day of the Divina’s death, thirty years after her death, a big concert with the soprano Dimitra Theodossiou, accompanied by the Omnia Orchestra, conducted by the Maestro Bruno Santori and with the participation of the tenor Romolo Tisano and the flautist Giovanni Roselli.
This event, supported by the Fenice Opera House and the Venice Casino, is the most important one worldwide to celebrate Maria Callas. Almost half an hour of applauses for the performance of Dimitra Theodossiou, who has presented several pieces of Callas repertory and has given an encore. After the audience’s ovation, the full approval by the critics.
It has been right to celebrate Maria Callas in Venice also because in 2007 it’s the sixtieth anniversary of the italian debut at the Fenice Opera House with Wagner’s “Tristano and Isotta”.
