| Bruno Tosi in front of
the " Christina O" |
The guest of honour on Board the mega-yacht
" CHRISTINA O " was the President of the Associazione
Maria Callas , Bruno Tosi. He was given a special greeting
by the new owners of the yacht, Mr Nick Burleigh and Ms.
Dee Lynam. The vessel was totally restored in 2000. Following
the death of the Shipping Magnate Onassis who commissioned
the yacht and was her first owner, the vessel was given
to the Greek Government by Christina Onassis. It was then
completely stripped of all the furnishing and lay for
two decades or so abandoned- almost given up for scrap.

The visit occurred in Montecarlo where
the " Christina O" it moved when she is not
ploughing the naves with her new crew. Here we are able
to show some of the interiors in the company of the new
owners; the Diving room, where, naturally Bruno Tosi was
offered a fish-based menu- the lounge, the master bedroom
all completely redecorated.

The bar, on the other, has remained move
or less as it was, with the famous bar stools that were
originally upholstered in whale-skin ( see photo) but
which have been re-coverer due to damage .

We have been able to photograph the "
Cristina O" as she is now, but have are also some
pictures taken on the yacht when Maria Callas and Aristotele
Onassis were cruising in the 50's and 60's .

present owners at the Auction of Callas's
