(AGI) - St.Petersburg, September 29th -Original letters, documents as well as rare photographs and set costumes created by the world's greatest designers have brought back to life the legendary Maria Callas in St Petersburg, thanks to an Italian exhibition that from October 28th to December 4th will take to the Sheremetevskij Palace an exclusive collection recreating the career and private life of the queen of opera who died in 1977. The exhibition entitled "Maria Callas for ever" has been organized by Venice's 'Maria Callas Association' in cooperation with the Italian Consulate and Institute of Culture in St Petersburg. The exhibition includes a series of objects and clothes the associations' president Bruno Tosi has collected over the years, thanks to help from many private collectors, theatres and institutions all over the world. The objects linked to various stages of the American-Greek soprano's career include stage costumes from her tours created by designers such as Biki, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior and Lanvin, sharing the stage with evening dresses, hats and personal objects owned by the 'divine one'.
