| Once more a big success for the
Calendar dedicated to Maria Callas. The 2007 edition,
as usual edited by Bruno Tosi, has broken all records
all over the world from the first printing so that now
it’s going to be reprinted.
The new Calendar contains 18 rare or
unpublished photographs of Maria Callas. For every month
of 2007 there is a sentence of the singer, pronounced
on occasion of previous interviews for newspapers, TV,
or radio.
Moreover there are two special pages
referring to two special days: the 30th anniversary
of Maria Callas’s death, occurred on September
16th 1977 in Paris (with photographs of the Divina’s
funeral, with the Princess Grace of Monaco too, never
seen before) and the 60th anniversary of her Italian
debut in Verona and Venice (with photographs of “Gioconda”
at the Arena and “Isotta” at the Fenice
theatre.
On the cover a colour photograph of
“Anna Boolean” at the Scala (Milan, 1957)
and inside, as a tribute to the exhibition “Maria
Callas-the Myth goes on” in Hamburg (where in
the prestigious Alsterhaus there were more then 1,000,000
visitors in almost one month) wonderful close-ups of
the concerts in 1959,1962 and 1973 in the German town.
The Calender Callas 2007 is available
in the shops Ricordi e Feltrinelli in Italy or can be
order on this site at Callas
Shop.
